Configuring TCP/IP

Select "TCP/IP" from "Control Panels" in the "Apple Menu."

Select "PPP" from the "Connect via" menu.

Select "Using PPP Server" from the "Configure"

Enter the IP Addresses of our Name Servers in the "Name server addr." area.
Name Server 1: 207.15.77.136
Name Server 2: 207.15.77.134

Enter the domain name "nationi.net" without quotes in the "Search domains" area.


Configuring Remote Access

Select "Remote Access" from "Control Panels" in the "Apple Menu."

In the "Remote Access" window select "Registered User", enter your "Logon ID"
in the "Name" area, enter your password in the "Password" area, and enter the access
number in the "Number" area.

Click the "Options" button to configure advanced features.

Select "On" from the "Redial" Menu if you wish to enable automatic redialing,
Select "Off" from the "Redial" menus if you wish to disable automatic redialing.

On the "Connection" tab you can select additional advanced features.

On the "Protocol" tab select "PPP" from the "Use Protocol" menu, make sure
"Allow error correction and compression in modem", and "Use TCP header compression"
boxes are checked. Click the "OK" when finished.

Click the "Connect" button to initiate a dial-up connection to Nation Internet.

Another "Remote Access" status window will appear if you've turned on the
"Launch Status application when connecting" option on the "Connection" tab in the "Options" section.

Once connected the "Remote Access Status Window" will return the statistics of your connection.
Once again this is if you've turned on the "Launch Status application when connecting"
option on the "Connection" tab in the "Options" section.

After you are finished using Nation Internet click the "Disconnect" button to log off.


Configuring Outlook Express v5.x

This is the Outlook Express main window.

To modify an existing account select "Account" from the "Tools" menu.

The "Accounts" window will appear, select the existing account
(in this example "Jane Doe"), and then click the "Edit" button on the toolbar.

The "Edit Account" window will appear, fill out all information using your
Logon ID and Password. The POP server and SMTP server are both
"mail.nationi.net" without quotes. Click the "OK" button when finished.

To setup your additional email accounts select "Switch Identity" from the "File" menu.

An Outlook Express Warning window will appear, read the warning and click the "Switch" button.

The Outlook Express Identities window now appears, this is where you will manage and switch
between multiple identities (separate email accounts). The exisiting identity is the Outlook Express
default identity. In our example this identity is configured for our Jane Doe account. To add an additional
identity click the "NEW" button.

Adding an Identity launches the Outlook Express Setup Assistant. This assistant will also be
how you configure your first account if this is the first time using Oultook Express. Click "I already
have an e-mail account", also enable "I want to use Outlook Express as my main (default) e-mail
program" by checking the box beside the option. Click the arrow pointing right to move to the next screen.

On screen 2 enter your friendly name in the "Display Name" area.
Click the arrow pointing right to move to the next screen.

On screen 3 enter your e-mail address "user@nationi.net" replacing "user" with your Logon ID
or additional e-mail name. Click the arrow pointing right to move to the next screen.

On screen 4 enter the Nation Internet Email Server host names. Incoming and Outgoing mail servers are
"mail.nationi.net" without quotes. Click the arrow pointing right to move to the next screen.

On screen 5 enter your Logon ID or additional e-mail name in the "Account ID" area. Enter your accounts correcsponding password in the "Password" area. Click the arrow pointing right to move to the next screen.

On screen 6 enter a friendly name to call your new identity in the "Account Name" area. Click the "Include this account in my 'Send & Receive' schedule" box to enable the option. Click the finish button to complete
setup of a new identity.

To switch between your identities always select "Switch Identity" from the "File" menu.
