Directions on using your account's personal web space

Your personal webspace (included free with premium dial up accounts) can be used for many things including hosting your own personal web page or storing files.

The following are instructions to help you post your personal website.

Content Rules
The content of your homepage falls under TowerMicro.net's Policy of Family oriented content. We allow no obscene language, pornography, sexually explicit information or other racial/ethnic derogatory materials to appear on customer's home pages. We also prohibit home user personal web pages to be used for commercial purposes such as advertising consulting or commercial business services and products.

Setup
First, you must have a TowerMicro.net Dial-Up Account.

Using a FTP program ftp to ftp.towermicro.net

If you do not have an FTP program you can get one by going to http://download.cnet.com.

Use your email name and password to logon to our server. Example: username: user1 Password: pass1

Copy home page html file and any associated files to the root directory (/username).

Rename home page html file to index.html or index.htm. Example: homepage.htm would be changed to index.html or index.htm

Your home page may be accessed by entering the following URL:http://www.towermicro.net/[your e-mail name] Example http://www.towermicro.net/user1

Your home page and associated files count against the 25MB of server storage space allocated for your account.
