Steps to create the dialup networking connection for Windows 2000:

1. Find and click the "Start" button.

2. Click the "Settings" menu, a sub-menu will appear, click the "Network and Dial-up Connections" menu item.

3. A Network and Dial-up Connections window will appear, double left-click on "Make New Connection".

4. A welcome screen appears, click the next button.

5. Next pick "Dial-up to the Internet" from the list of available connection types, click next to continue.

6. Now you will be presented with the Internet Connection Wizard, Select the third option "I want to setup my Internet connection manually..." and click the next button

7. Next you will be asked how you connect to the Internet, Select the first option "I connect through a phon line and a modem", click the next button.

8. Now we will enter the phone number. In the area code box, enter 570. In the Telephone number box, enter the number which is local for you to call: Click next.

9. Insert your username and password and click the next button.

10. Next you will be asked to type a name for the computer you are dialing into. Type in TowerMicro.net. Click next.

11. Now you will be asked if you want to setup an email account, if you want to use Microsoft® Outlook Express select "Yes" and click the next button. Otherwise select "No" and click the next button.

12. You have successfully created a new dialup networking connection called TowerMicro.net. Click finish to save.

13. You will return to the"Network and Dial-up Connections" window automatically after clicking finish. Find your TowerMicro.net icon and right-click on it. From the menu that will appear, left-click "create shortcut". This will place a shortcut to TowerMicro.net on your desktop.

When you are ready to connect, double-left click the "Shortcut to TowerMicro.net" icon on your desktop or launch the Microsoft® Internet Explorer web browser.

Email Setup:

Webmail (only requires internet browser): Type http://mail.towermicro.net in the address bar of your web browser and login using your email name/password

Outlook Express (if you do not wish to use webmail): Type http://support.towermicro.net in the address bar of your web browser. Scroll down the page to the "Configuration Help" section. Click the link for TowerMicro.net Email Setup (Outlook Express) Follow these instructions to setup Outlook Express for use with TowerMicro.net.

Incoming Mail Server: mail.towermicro.net
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.towermicro.net
