Steps to create the dialup networking connection for Windows XP:

1. Find and click the "Start" button.

2. Click the "Control Panel " icon, The Control Panel window will appear.

3. Make sure your Control Panel is in category view, on the left-hand side of the Control Panel if you have
an option to "switch to category view" click it now. If you have the option to "switch to classic view" then
you are already in category view.

4. Then under Pick a Category, click the "Network and Internet Connections" icon.

5. Next click the "Setup or change your Internet connection" icon under the "Pick a task" section.

6. The "Internet Properties" window will now appear, click the "Setup" button near the top of the window.

7. A welcome screen appears, click the next button.

8. Next pick "Connect to the Internet" from the list of available connection types, click next to continue.

9. Now you will be presented with the New Connection Wizard, Select the second option "Setup my connection manually" and click the next button

10. Next you will be asked how you connect to the Internet, Select the first option "Connect using a dial-up modem", click the next button.

11. Now we will enter the Name "TowerMicro.net" in the ISP Name box, then click the next button.

12. Now we will enter the phone number. In the phone number box, enter the number which is local for you to call, then click the next button. (A new computer may also ask for the area code, if it does enter "570" in the box given)

13. Next you will be asked who can use this dial-up connection, this is at your discretion, if you have multiple logons for you computer pick "Anyone's use" to allow all users to use this connection or select "My use only" to restrict the connection to your logon only. Click next when ready.

14. Insert your username and password (you will need to enter your password twice) and click the next button.

15. You have successfully created a new dialup networking connection called TowerMicro.net. Click the "Add a shortcut to this connection on my desktop" check box, then click finish to save.

When you are ready to connect, double-left click the "TowerMicro.net" shortcut icon on your desktop or launch the Microsoft® Internet Explorer web browser.

Email Setup:

Webmail (only requires internet browser): Type http://mail.towermicro.net in the address bar of your web browser and login using your email name/password

Outlook Express (if you do not wish to use webmail): Type http://support.towermicro.net in the address bar of your web browser. Scroll down the page to the "Configuration Help" section. Click the link for TowerMicro.net Email Setup (Outlook Express) Follow these instructions to setup Outlook Express for use with TowerMicro.net.

Server Settings for Outlook Express:
Mail Server Type: POP3
Incoming Mail Server: mail.towermicro.net
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.towermicro.net
